Businesses are focusing on individuals that are either already stressed or managing symptoms of stress once they present. I think the problem is really systemic. Managers become managers because they've been really pretty good at something else. And then suddenly someone says okay we'll have you as a manager because you've done pretty well. The thing about leaders and leadership is that they deal with uncertainty. Strategies are uncertain, there's a trouble for organizations generally speaking are uncertain. So instead of having leaders actually leading we have a load of managers actually managing from the top. Now this causes huge problems in organizations.
