The Southern Tour of the United States
By the southern tour, which was more than a year later, many of hamilton's economic plants had come into focus. He knew that in the large ports of charleston and savannah, these were unusual for the south. These were federalist pockets, because these were rice planters who needed the infrastructure of a city. And so that was ok. But then he headed inla to augusta, georgia, and then up through camden, south carolina, into charlotte and salisbury, salem, and then eventually back into virginia.
