How Does MLFA Work?
Once we build an equation for it, now we kind of open the doors to lots of possibilities. We could have interactions or curvilinear effects. So maybe the age effect on the factor loading is not linear. Maybe it's actually curved. And so once we start to think of it in terms of an equation, it really opens up the possibilities to do lots of things that we wouldn't have thought of in the two group case. The one thing that MLFA won't give you, though, is all the fit statistics.
