The Great Romance of the Police Officers
There is a Boyle, Peralta, Bromance. There's Terry and yogurt. The great romance of the show. We were especially early on and we were very aware of they had to be not just like network good at their jobs, but they were police officers holding up the law. And it was constraining in terms of story breaking. Like you can't have a lot of conflict. Jake couldn't mess up. And so a way he could mess up is how he treated his best friend Charles. So that led to a lot of really great stories between them about their friendship.
