Gary Googerson began his life as an AI, a minor program developed in the 2020s for hands-free navigation. After it was found his programming had been tampered with to make him selectively speak well of certain restaurant chains and locations, this AI program was shut down and left to sit into space. A student got permission to tinker with him as a project and ran him with much higher capacities and freedoms. That student went on to be a very influential member of the growing transhumanist movement of the late twenty-first century.
