The Reality of China's State Sector
The state sector roughly accounts for 30 to 40% of the economy, which is very high. That has come down from the early 80s where it's over 90%. But despite talk that China is moving away from the private sector, that talk has been going on for 10 years or so. The share of state ownership in the economy has not really changed that much in the last decade.
