Alexander the great was on a victory tour when he realized diogenes never showed up for the parade. Diogenes didn't care about how great alexander thought he was, but wanted his approval. When sin stands over you and tries to paralyze you, i want you to speak back to your sin and just say, get out of my light. That's the cry that jesus brings.
