The Importance of Speech
Karina: It is hard right now in the United States to find people who value freedom of speech freedom of expression so I'm finding myself like trying to explain why it's important. polarization specifically makes conversation and speech stupid and therefore makes thinking stupid, she says. Karina: Some people are so afraid of having these sorts of difficult conversations that it's almost like a pain for that but there's a totally different way of thinking about speech which is unfortunately becoming more and more common.
