The Left's Fear of the Left
It's pretty remarkable that there is an active socialist movement in the United States, he says. We're not talking about a movement asking for anything more than a decent welfare state and consideration of public ownership or one or two obvious corporate entities. The Green New Deal is a sort of, you know, win-win national mobilization around green industrialism. You know, there's a discussion of a wealth tax on the left wing of the Democratic Party, but we're again not talking about expropriation. But it attacks on the egregious and outrageous extreme wealth of a tiny fraction of American society.
