The Freedom of Saying Yes
Moana is the one who needs to do this, and that if she chooses not to, the consequences for the island that she left are going to be dire. And so when Mary said yes, it was from a place of freedom, and I think we often forget that. We often think that because this was God's will, she had to say yes, but she didn't. She could say no, and I wouldn't lose God for love because of it. The yes just came a little much for your place.
