Climate Change - The Only Thing That Will Save Themselves
No marine reserve, no ban on fishing nets could make a difference for Hymonti Bizwa's tiny dietons. Only thing that will secure their future is halting climate change itself. We need to stop burning things like oil and petrol which actually researchers suggest dietons collected the carbon for millions of years ago. The irony is that dietons were kind of doing the job for us. They were capturing the carbon, sinking it to the bottom of the ocean,. letting it be contained within rocks. And yet we are digging that carbon and releasing back to the atmosphere.
