The court decided that the seizure of the person happens when McFadden grabs Terry and starts patting him down. But they could say that actually these guys are stopped for purposes of the Fourth Amendment when McFadden approaches them and asks them for their name, right? It's kind of... Yeah, another way of putting that is maybe when he stops them, right? I'm not on the Supreme Court. I'm just a regular guy looking at words. When a cop stops you on the street, I would think that that's the stop, you know? yeah.
