Donald Trump signed a deal with ACN, a telecommunications marketing firm that scammed people out of their money. Complaints alleged that they were once again led to believe Trump was actually involved in the business and believed in it. In fact, within a few years, the company fell on hard times leaving some of salespeople and tough financial straits. The lawsuit complained that the Trump Foundation, which is ostensibly a charity, was turned by the president and his family into essentially a clearing house for scams. A New York Times investigation found that huge chunks of the course books for the Institute were outright plagiarized from legitimate business books.
