When you're feeling an emotion or thinking about doing something, you then have to ask yourself, is it beneficial, appealing, and possible? And so again, sometimes your mind is asking for things for you to do that aren't possible. I had the fortunate blessing of being raised by people who were truly the most present people I've ever met. Because they figured out how to keep my nervous system regulated, I was naturally able to do that. That made no sense to my wife. Her husband is a professional athlete at a very high level. She would say, I have nonstop chatter. How do you just sit there and veg out? It's in survival mode all the time
