I love the fact she can recognize that what she's doing is a little bit bonkers and she knows it is but she still has to do it that way. My daughter will go to bed with a hot water bottle which is fine in December it's fine in January not middle of August. I'm hoping it's getting better but I think it's more about how it feels than anything else. If you're really explicit then it can be really hard for autistic people unless they say this is what's going to happen  and we just had to learn from boys because there was no one like me who didn't have an Autistic brother or sister at school.
