There's always been a greater variability of male reproductive success. Incels are seeing that and they're taking they want to have a little slice of victimhood pie themselves. The modern mating market is making it harder particularly for lower income young men to form relationships. Men in the minority get to call the shots so they're reluctant to commit long term. It also hurts women because there are less eligible men on the mating market.
