Do You Own the Slave Quarters?

Fred Miller unwittingly purchased what he now knows to be the Shar'swood Plantation House with slave quarters just behind it. He'd always assumed his ancestors had been enslaved, but it felt like an unknowable part of a distant past. The house was originally built in the late 1700s as a house for a white family and later divided into two separate single-room, slave dwellings.
