The Pros and Cons of Jake T. Mac

I thought that he was going to go pro in the movie when I first saw the movie. What Jake and Jesus really get out of this is they get their reconnection. The reason to hook on that was that his mom wanted him to go to college. That's what she said. She said I want to see. Not like a lot of backstory about why his mom wants to make an education. They just kind of say it once. And so then they don't let Jake out. It under kind of undermines the movie because he is sacrificing for his father. Now, would that happen?
