Baptism and Circumcision Not One to One

Baptism is not merely the new testament fulfilment of circumcision. Circumcision is also not just symbolic, it brings people into the physical people of god. If you believe in regeneration or baptism, how far do you go with tradition? Because i've had people pushed back on this and i'm pretty convinced that a damnation of unbaptized babies who die doesn't necessarily mean they don't have to be baptised.
