Dritarasra is a blind king who has no place on the battlefield. He asks Sanjaya, his charioteer, what did they do? In Sanskrit, words get run together frequently. So Pandava chah eva gets combined due to rules called sundi. Due to those grammar rules, it becomes Pandava Chah eva.
