The Importance of Comprehensible Input Teaching

The comprehensible input teaching comes from Stephen Crashin's second language acquisition theory back in the 1980s. We acquire language when we understand messages that contain aspects of language we've not yet acquired, but that we're ready to acquire. Now very important to note is Krashen's distinction between language learning and language acquisition. So Krashen says that acquisition is the way in which languages are picked up naturally as I spoke about when you know you're a baby  and you pick things up without learning or you could say involuntarily involving no effort, energy or work.
