The Hungry Ghost
The most pervasive, one of the most pervasive onmet needs where we can see the substitute going is really the need to feel good about ourselves. We then go about getting very hooked on overworking, always trying to prove ourselves and improve ourselves. And usually one of the substitutes is rushing and trying to check things off the list. It's a contracted and fixated kind of desire. As long as we're pursuing it, s long as we’re doing the hungry ghost thing, we can't free ourselves in a deep way.
