The Reality of What the Web Will Do

There was a time when people thought the web would be like democracy. Now, we find out that connecting on line creates even more intense bubbles where you talk less and less to others. Whatever tools exist in the world, whether technology or any other kind of tool, if there's a way to use it in a social, interactive way, we will push it to that. That's one one axiom. The other is, and then once we start predicting what this means and how this will impact us, will be wrong.
