Gobekti Tepey's work started 11,600 years ago. The site ran for about a thousand years to 10,600 or 10,400 years ago. Because they buried it, it's still there today. Like a time capsule. That's the only motive I can think of for burying it. And what divides us is much less significant than what unites us. "I just don't get why we're still like this," he says.
