The Department of Defense's AI Strategy
The Joint AI Center was established as the Department of Defense's center of excellence for AI technology. The organization is organized around five pillars: deliver AI capabilities for mission impact, scale AI's impact through a common foundation, cultivate a leading AI workforce, and lead in military ethics and AI safety. We have our mission initiatives, our national mission initiatives. These are specific projects that we're going after because we believe they have a lot of the features that allow for success in AI development.
