I love writing melodies, like chord progressions. I would be on a plane and I would sit with a notepad and I would. Lyrics are about distilling an emotion to like the, you know, you keep distilling and distilling. It was very solitary for me. A lot of times I'd just bring a guitar or a yuke or a keyboard on location with me if I were making a movie. Although there are songs. that are written in like 12 minutes, but it's very rare, right?
