What's Transdisciplinary Research?

Ruth Rout: Science and the arts were just all about pushing the boundaries of knowledge. But then, as you say, probably from the victorian times, they sort of went into silos and disciplines. And i think it's a bit like that in science. So how do we keep the deep expertse but just move away? In a way, trans disciplinary or into disciplinary research, we shouldn't even have to mention it. It's about what are you trying to discover? What are you working on? To me, that is really, really what it's all about.
