The Industrial Revolution

In Our Time

CHAPTER

Introduction

The Industrial Revolution was a revolution, not a political one. Rural communities lost precedence to factory towns as the population tripled and enormous cities developed around manufacturing centres. We'd need to discuss the Industrial Revolution with Jeremy Black, Pat Hudson and William Ashworth.
