Holmes and Watson were drinking in a pub when the case came up. The pair decided to investigate some mud on the river bank. After an hour of investigating, Holmes returned with his boots covered in mud. He told them that he was looking for evidence about a doctor they had never met before. They then spent two hours trying to find out who this 'doctor' was. At one point it became very quiet as both men fell asleep from lack of sleep.
