The Importance of Political Activity in the 50s

I think one of the things that is missed by a lot of these people is that that period involved the world wars and major conflict. People who imagine that they could create a set of revolutionary movements without that kind of conflict are not being very realistic. We may be facing something along the lines of that level I mean maybe not a world war like we had in World War II but we certainly seem to be facing a war that involves the major powers  in a way that it hasn't since World War II like in this case.
