The Importance of Nationalism

There was a strongly nationalist element to what people said about the royal family. So in that respect for royal family also symbolised more than inequality they symbolised nationhood. I realised I was writing about nationalism when I wrote the book about royal family but I didn't have a proper knowledge of nationalism. The idea that you may get eternal truths from the social sciences is a bit of a mythology. This is why you always need social scientists because it's continually becoming out of dating.
