DeFi and MEV - Is MEV the Dominant Business Model?

I think MEV is going to emerge as the dominant business model for DeFi. That's ultimately going to lead to exchanges vertically integrating and extracting profits fromMEV. I'm not necessarily making a prediction about App chains, but I think they'll end up winning. And who knows, maybe they'll follow the dydx route?
