"I suddenly couldn't fail I used every class I was in honors across all my courses and honored all of my clinical rotation like everything in the world suddenly was making sense," he says. "My engineering brain had been so filled now with a three dimensional model of what it means to be a human body that I didn't recognize at the time is what you recognize which is that's a very masculine field of science" After 17 years of continued education his patients were dying painful slow deaths of chronic disease, according to Dr. Michael O'Mara. He found himself into this bizarre thing of his own depression after taking care of them for 10 years.
