Roland Fryer's Study on How to Help Poor Kids Who Are Disproportionately Black in Failing Schools
Roland Fryer has done the best evidence-backed study about how to help poor kids who are disproportionately black in lowest performing failing schools. He did a study where he got control of 20 schools in Houston, 20 of the worst schools in Houston and randomly treated half of them. And what he found is that they were able to raise the math scores of kids at these schools by standard deviation.
