The Nature of Think Tanks Is Changing
Roskam blames the conservative parties for policy timidity, and he blames the sort of polity in general for being too comfortable. He thinks that people aren't listening to right-wing think tanks anymore; instead they're going to competing think tanks from the centre-left of politics. The nature of think tanks is changing because 30 years of prosperity has meant that no government has thought they needed to continue to reform. What the IPA in particular tends to do these days is much more in the line of punditry than policy.
