The Importance of Number 10 in Government
When you're in government, you realise how wonderful the number 10 switchboard is. The most in army happened just to make sure I was okay and what I thought they should be up to. And yes, you've got to leave contact details with exactly where you're going to be. That's part of the deal, if you're a minister. You've got to at least be in the end of the phone all the time. If you're sensible, you get back pretty quickly if there's a crisis.
