The Special Counsel's Role in Donald Trump's Prosecution
If the special counsel has conflicting testimony about whether Donald Trump said or didn't say that he lost the election, does that close off any avenue of prosecution? No, not necessarily. If you have testimony that's a mixed bag like that, you do have the right and the discretion as a prosecutor to say, not just I believe side A as opposed to side B, but I think side A is more reasonable and backed up by other evidence. And you know, Donald is never going to tell the truth.
