Multiple state level governments have enacted bans on school libraries. The idea is that we are fighting back against some sort of insidious, often phrased as liberal agenda. And they feel there is a conspiracy afoot to twist the minds of children through propaganda. They don't see themselves though as keeping information from an unworthy public.
