Is This Going to Eviscerate Commercial Banking?
The Fed would own all the mortgages, credit card debt and auto loans. That's kind of how I see the most likely scenario. The initial transaction would be done by the local bank and then they would pocket a commission. So there's zero risk, but they still make the same amount of money.
