There was somebody who wrote a book on the cyclical generations and that's a testable hypothesis. If you look at what they say, the cycles of four different types of generations only sort of fits Gen X. It really doesn't fit millennials and it doesn't fit Gen Z either in terms of the reflection. So I mean, it's just one example. They say Gen Z is going to be very much like the silence. Well, the silent generation married at younger ages than any generation in U.S. history. You know, then silent generation pretty rigid gender roles. Again, Gen Z not only do they not have rigid gender roles, but they say there's more than two

Twenge, PhD, a professor of psychology at San Diego State University, is the author of more than a hundred scientific publications and several books based on her research, including Generations, iGen, and Generation Me. She has also been featured on Today, Good Morning America, Fox and Friends, CBS This Morning, and NPR. She lives in San Diego with her husband and three daughters.
