In the preface to the first german edition, which is page six on the internet, 18 national publishers, an 89 in penguin, marks apologizes for the difficulty. He says, he says that every beginning is difficult. Holds in all sciences. And he says that the first chapter will be particularly difficult. The body as an organic whole is more easy of study than are the cells of that body. In analysis of economic forms, moreover, neither microscopes nor chemical regions are of use. Instead of the microscopes, he writes, the force of abstraction must replace both.
