The bridge is 20 meters wide, so the animals can cross in the centre of it. The soil on top is four meters deep to allow trees to put down roots and soak up water if there's a tropical storm. New trees are being planted either side of the bridge too, to thicken the forest there. louise powlo: "We want to save the species forever"
