Is There Anything in the Fitness Industry That Needs an Engineer?

If you have a technical expertise and a passion, is there any way you can combine the two? I love video games, but i'm a psychiatrist. There's a sort of this idea that if you're an engineering you have to like, switch into fitness and become a personal trainer.
