The Origins of Constellations

A list of coordinates for stars that Hipparchus himself tracked and studied more than 2000 years ago. The first constellations drawn by humans that we can put a definitive date on come from ancient Mesopotamia, way back in 1300 BC. There's also a cave in France that has dotted markings that some archaeologists believe represent stars, and it dates to over 17,000 years ago.
