The Importance of Constitutional Morality in India
Rizal Baravind has said that the accepted view of marriages between biological man and a biological woman should come from the legislature, not the judiciary. The Supreme Court gave the government time to do this but there are no options it can take according to Mr Rizal. He says India is a constitutional democracy so Parliament may represent the viewpoint of the majority - but its limitations imposed by the constitution must be respected.
