The Problems With Self-Service Reporting
I've heard multiple people have the experience of something got published via self-service BI channels in the organization that went so badly that senior leadership said, stop. We're putting a halt to all of this. I think there's huge problems now where self-service can be tricky and you can scare a CFO enough. If you're a publicly traded company and people are deriving data, it's incorrect and it gets out into the world, the SEC will come down on you. So, yeah, there's a ton of risk, which means one of the best things that we can do to combat risk is user education and user support.
