Introduction
This is a special instalment of the podcaste because i now have 50 patrons. And if you have been looking at my pat on page, you may have noticed that i promised to produce a lecture about the secret teachings and rituals of freemasonry. That's what i did my dissertation research on freemasonry, specifically in the 17 hundreds. So it's an area that i know perhaps the most about of any particular historical topic. I'm not going to talk so much about the history of the institution, which is very complicated and eventful. I am going to mainly try to give an over view of this sort of what i think of is really the backbone of the institution.
