The waking, dreaming and deep sleep are like a little inconsequential boat floating in me the ocean of awareness. I am patient with the boat - it is tiny and floats in its own way,. guided by its internal laws of causality, of carma. Am completely unaffected by it. Sometimes things go well for the samsari. Sometimes things goes badly for the samara. I'm not concerned about that. The constant awareness, a awareness am limitless like an ocean, a limitless ocean of light. In deep sleep they are all merged into one indivisible blankness, no subject, no object.
Inspired by the 15th chapter of the Ashtavakra Gita, Swami Sarvapriyananda gives a discourse on the nature of the Self.
