I think the symbol books and all that, I think they're great to give you an idea how dreams work. Black is bad in a dream unless God's hiding in it, then it's good. Snake, bad, unless Moses puts it on a stick and it represents Christ becoming sin for us. White's good unless it's leprosy. Do you see where I'm going? And so God can flip the symbols.
