The first thing I have when I was playing the Blaugh Symphony, going to the high D and the conductor stopped. The next day the review was a big sort of, it just nailed him down. So that's a good start. And you are an ambassador in a lot of ways because you were the first exposure to what a trombonist is for a common person who wasn't as familiar.
